Mike Marcus: "Our legacy system was almost 20 years old, so we no longer had the upgrades and the support from a software perspective, but also the environment was just very unstable, not to mention the inefficiencies. So, it was inefficient for our accounts payable department, it was inefficient for our accounts receivable department. And even entering journal entries: we had to enter them all manually, there was no upload feature. Honestly, it was a necessity, not a want."
Mike Marcus: "There were several benefits in making the move. One of the biggest things in switching to Acumatica was the amount of data that we had in our system and the level of detail. Because we were doing everything so manual in our previous system, we were recording invoices at the header level versus at the detailed level. With accounts payable and the OCR feature, we were able to get all that data into the system, and so that was just amazing. In such a short amount of time, our journal entries had more detail, we shaved off a lot of time for our accounts payable and even our accounts receivable teams."
Mike Marcus: "One great feature I love about Acumatica is the OCR feature for our accounts payable. Entering all those invoices by hand in our legacy system would've taken us hundreds of hours, and now we're able to capture all that same information and more in such a fraction of the time. So that's been a great win for us."
