Blytheco Transitions to New Ownership
It is with excitement, humility, and gratitude that we announce a change in Blytheco’s ownership. Stephen Blythe, after 39 years of innovative leadership as the company’s visionary, has transitioned the business to two of his tenured and trusted leaders. Effective January 1, 2019, Lori Seal and Phil Sim assume ownership of Blytheco, with Lori becoming Blytheco’s CEO and Phil appointed as Blytheco’s Chief Client Success Officer. Stephen will continue in a consultative role as Blytheco’s Board Chairman in a new advisory board formed to support Blytheco’s journey ahead. The advisory board is also joined by tech industry powerhouses David Butler (former president of Sage Software and CEO of Paciolan) and Tim Leyden (former CFO of Sage Software and Western Digital), as well as Blytheco’s recently appointed CFO, Chad Gardner.
As we focus on a bright future, we pay tribute to Stephen for his incredible contributions to Blytheco, our broader industry, and the people he has mentored and invested in. This business transition was the result of proactive planning to secure the continuation of Blytheco’s legacy and an example of a leader creating opportunities for others. We are committed to making Stephen proud and serving our industry with excellence and passion.
We also want to recognize and thank our outstanding Blytheco team members. They are an amazing work family with aligned values and a culture second to none. We thank our software publishers for the solutions they have entrusted us to represent and their support of Blytheco. Finally, we thank our clients for their partnership and the opportunity to live our passion to Transform Companies. Please congratulate Stephen on his retirement and amazing 39 years building his business. We appreciate your support as we move forward!
Warm regards,
Lori Seal and Phil Sim
