Acumatica Summit Recap: Strategic Insights, Industry Trends, and What’s Next for Acumatica Users

Acumatica Summit has come to a close, and the conversations from this year’s event made one thing clear: the Acumatica ecosystem is entering its next phase of growth, driven by automation and AI innovation, industry specialization, and smarter use of data.

Our team attended Acumatica Summit to stay at the forefront of these changes, and we were proud to contribute directly to the dialogue with three expert-led sessions focused on real-world Acumatica strategy, implementation best practices, and scalable growth.

We’re sharing the most important takeaways from Acumatica Summit, highlights from our presentations, and what these insights mean for organizations using or considering Acumatica ERP.

Key Acumatica Summit Trends Shaping the Future of ERP

Several themes consistently surfaced across the Summit keynotes, breakout sessions, and partner conversations:

1. Automation and AI Are Moving from Nice-to-Have to Must Have

From workflow automation to intelligent insights, Acumatica users are prioritizing efficiency at scale. Companies that embrace automation within Acumatica reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and free teams to focus on strategic initiatives.  New tools like the AI Studio are providing the foundation to extend AI across the enterprise.

2. Acumatica ERP Continues to go Deep in their Industry-Driven Strategy

Organizations are increasingly focused on vertically-tailored ERP solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all platforms. Acumatica’s continued investment in industry editions and extensibility reflects a shift toward ERP systems that address their operational complexity.

Why this matters: Businesses that tailor Acumatica to their industry gain faster adoption, better reporting, and stronger ROI.

3. Data Visibility Is a Competitive Advantage

Real-time reporting, dashboards, and actionable analytics were at the center of many Summit discussions.  Acumatica is more than a system of record.  It is a system of insight and can serve as an organization’s “digital-twin”.

User Management: Best Practices for Roles, Access Rights, and Security in Acumatica

Session Focus:

  • Simplify security through User Types and by mapping roles directly to functional modules. This approach ensures users have the exact access needed for their specific day-to-day tasks while keeping the backend clean and easy to manage as the team grows.
  • Maintain best practices by proactively avoiding common pitfalls after Go-Live. This involves a strategic approach to copying predefined roles, navigating conflicts from inherited access rights, and understanding top-down permissions to prevent unintended security gaps and errors.
