George T. Hall: Customer Success Story

[0:09] Michael Smith, Senior Operations Manager: "Moving to the cloud, into a modern system has been a dream of ours for a long time."

[0:16] Dina Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Operations: "Hi, I'm Dina Johnson. I'm the Vice President of Sales and Operations with George T. Hall Company. We have offices in California and Nevada. We're a system integrator, as well as a UL custom control panel shop."

[0:30] Michael Smith: "Hello, I'm Michael Smith with the George T. Hall Company. I'm the Senior Operations Manager based out of our Nevada location."

[0:37] Dina Johnson: "Our company has been around since 1932. We'd been on a 16-year-old DOS-based ERP system. When we first looked at Acumatica, what impressed us most was the integration into a single platform, as well as the ability to actually get good data."

[0:58] Michael Smith: "One of the things, from my perspective, is being able to dump that old system, not have to maintain it, not have to back it up, not have to worry about where we're going to find support for it in the future. That was really another compelling reason to move along."

[1:12] Dina Johnson: "Absolutely. One of our biggest reasons for migrating to a new modern ERP system was that in our old system, labor was looked at as a part. The ability to really analyze the data in regards to what we bid, and then be able to look at that after the fact, see exactly what was used, and what our precise profitability was, was super important for us.

I would say that productivity has improved considerably. Now we're evaluating this information. I think they put a lot more care into the time that they're spending. With that information, we're able to now make better in-house decisions in regards to our labor, even our labor rates, labor practices, as well as some new project management techniques that we're implementing to hopefully improve that data even more."

[2:08] Michael Smith: "And now to have a single database and one source of truth, it's going to be remarkable.

From our very first interactions with Blytheco, we knew it was a good fit for us. The entire team has been fantastic. They really took the time to learn our business, studied what we do, offer suggestions continually of things that we wouldn't even think of that are helpful to us. That's been an invaluable part of this process, and I don't think we could have been so successful with what we've done without that team."

[2:38] Dina Johnson: "Phenomenal job, dealing with every obstacle and keeping the project moving forward.

Our ability to grow with the system is leaps and bounds beyond anything we could have done before. And the thing that we love is the ability to even grow into other modules. We've talked about adding a shopping cart function. We're talking about moving more into custom products. All of these are things that I think will really help propel us into the future. So yeah, it's been a huge benefit."
